They call me a “founder” because I have always launched new projects, built brands, or supported others in doing the same.
I hold a PhD in Big Data Management and currently work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the International University of Monaco, where I also lecture in Tourism Destination Marketing, Luxury Destination Management, and Digital Marketing Strategy. I serve as Associate Deputy Director of the Master in Luxury Management. My research focuses on how tourists and visitors engage with destinations, communities, and cultural institutions (GLAM), with a particular interest in destination fandom communities.
During my PhD, I gained international research experience as a Visiting Postgraduate Scholar at the University of Bath (UK) and as a Visiting PhD Researcher at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano. There, I collaborated with the UNESCO Chair in ICT for Sustainable Tourism in World Heritage Sites and with the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication.
Beyond academia, I bring more than seven years of professional experience as a digital marketing and tourism consultant, including projects on the digital transformation of museums with a Swiss IT company. I have also been a hospitality micro-entrepreneur and an active member of the tourism committee of Castellabate (SA).
